INTRODUCTION
This chapter refers to the content and historical development of the phenomenon of in-company training and presents the contemporary trends that have emerged in recent years in the field of in-company training in fashion industry. It then goes on to analyse its critical dimensions, its aims, objectives, and the benefits it entails for modern enterprises. At the same time, extensive reference is made to the concepts of human resources development and human resources management, outlining their basic dimensions and functions, as well as their differences, while at the same time highlighting their contribution to the development of employees’ skills and the achievement of a company’s objectives. Finally, it highlights the role of in-house training in the development of human resources and the overall operation of a company and presents the ways in which it can give a company a competitive advantage and enhance its productivity and efficiency.
